vidchan is a platform where users can upload, share and view videos and sound files. The point of vidchan is to upload, save and share old video, sound or image files that might not be available anymore or that you want to keep.
To view uploaded files scroll down or click 'Random Videos' / 'Random Images' button. You can also search for files using video title, description or tags.
To upload a file, simply click the 'Upload' button and select your file. Then fill out (leave blank), title, description and tags. These are used in searching algorithm. To upload a private file simply tick the 'Private file' checkbox, these files will not be shown on the website. Once the file is approved, it will be available on the website.
You can upload any video, sound or image file as long as it complies with our 'Rules'. Please read them. Allowed extensions are: .mp4, .mov, .wmv, .flv, .mp3, .webm, .jpg, .png.
Private files are files that were uploaded with the checkbox ticked, these will be accessible ONLY with a direct link (shown after file upload). If you lose the link, you will lose access to the file. If you lost your link and would like access to the file again, send us an email at: [email protected]
Current max file size is 15MB.
If you come across any inappropriate content, you can report it by sending us an email at: [email protected]
Important note: Submitting intentionally false reports may result in a ban. This policy is in place to discourage abuse of the system; it is not meant to dissuade users from submitting legitimate reports.
Manual file deletion does not exist yet. If you wish to delete a file send us an email at: [email protected]
